Help planning, building and checking emails that reach the right audience at the right time. I’m Eamon Slevin, a digital marketer based in Meath, offering selected freelance support with campaigns, audience segments, automated journeys and reporting.
A useful email campaign starts before the build: who should receive it, what do they need to know and what happens when they respond? I help turn that brief into a clear message, an appropriate audience and a checked delivery plan, using the tools your business already has.
A project that fits.
A single campaign, regular customer emails or a defined journey can be scoped as a project. My hands-on CRM experience is in Microsoft Dynamics. We’ll review your platform, access, requirements and my availability before agreeing the work and a quote. Platform subscriptions and any additional development are scoped separately.
What we can work on
Campaign planning & email builds
Turn an agreed brief and approved content into an email with a clear next step. Work can include copy, layout and versions for different audiences. Local teams supply and approve any translated content.
Audience segmentation
Review who should receive each message and who should be excluded. Check the selection rules, contact counts and available subscription preferences with your team before scheduling.
Automated email journeys
Plan the sequence, timing and exit conditions in your existing platform. For example, an event journey can stop invitations once someone registers and send the appropriate follow-up afterwards.
Testing & launch checks
Check mobile and web layouts, calls to action, links, tracking parameters, footers and unsubscribe handling. Send tests and review the audience and schedule with the person responsible for final approval.
Lead handover & CRM processes
Make the route from enquiry to follow-up clear. Agree the information, ownership and status tracking your team needs, whether that lives in an existing CRM or a practical shared enquiry tracker.
Campaign reporting
Review delivery, clicks, registrations, unsubscribes and other agreed measures. Keep email activity separate from confirmed sales and use the evidence to improve later messages where useful.
Agency work delivered at Rooftop Twenty Two, January 2024–January 2025. Email campaigns and paid lead generation were separate parts of the account.
From the portfolio
Best4Travel: regular emails and a clear lead handover.
At Rooftop Twenty Two, I delivered weekly or fortnightly email campaigns for cruise and holiday offers. Alongside that work, I managed a cruise lead generation campaign, with enquiries flowing into an Excel tracker for the sales team. Their follow-up and status updates helped connect campaign reporting with what happened to each enquiry.
In my employed role at Marsh, I build localised Microsoft Dynamics email journeys, check audience selections and schedules, and support Power BI reporting. The portfolio overview explains this recurring in-house work and my role, separately from my freelance services.
The brief, audience and approval process matter as much as the email itself.
Your audience & offer
Share the purpose of the campaign, the action you want people to take and how the audience was collected. We’ll agree the selection and exclusions with your team; purchased lists are not a starting point for this service.
Your platform & content
Let me know which email or CRM platform you use, what access is available and whether the copy, imagery, landing page and translations are ready. You retain ownership of your accounts and customer data.
Your approval & follow-up
Identify who approves the content, audience, required notices and schedule, and who handles responses. We’ll agree a final check and reporting measures before launch. Your organisation remains responsible for its legal requirements.
How we get there
01
Map the campaign
Review the objective, platform, audience and response process. Agree the deliverables, responsibilities, timing and quote.
02
Build & test
Prepare the emails and agreed journey. Check the content, links, audience rules, exclusions and schedule, then get final approval from your team.
03
Launch & review
Check that scheduled sends run as intended. Review the agreed campaign measures and follow-up feedback, then identify useful changes for the next campaign.
Where I work
Based in Meath. Working further afield.
I’m based in Summerhill, Co. Meath, and available for freelance projects with businesses in Trim, Navan and across the county. I can meet clients or visit their premises by arrangement.
I also offer remote support to businesses in Dublin, Cavan, Louth, Westmeath and Kildare, and elsewhere in Ireland. We can handle the brief, design reviews and handover by call and email, so you don’t need to be nearby to work with me.
Yes. A defined campaign or journey is a useful starting point. Regular support can also be discussed, depending on the scope and my availability alongside my full-time role.
Which CRM and email platforms do you work with?
My hands-on CRM experience is in Microsoft Dynamics, including audience segmentation and automated journeys. Tell me which platform you use so I can assess the fit before quoting. This service does not imply expertise in every platform or include a CRM migration by default.
What is the difference between an email campaign and a journey?
A campaign might be a single message to an agreed audience. A journey connects several messages with timing and rules: for example, an invitation, reminders and follow-up, with registered contacts excluded from later invitations. The right approach depends on the purpose and your platform.
Can you work with a marketing or sales team?
Yes. My experience includes working with regional marketing leads on content, audience and scheduling approvals, and with a sales team on enquiry tracking and follow-up. We’ll agree who owns each decision before the work starts.
How much does email marketing support cost?
I quote for the agreed project after reviewing the platform, number of emails, audience rules, content requirements and testing. Software subscriptions and additional development costs are separate. There is no published minimum package or automatic ongoing commitment.
How do we judge whether the campaign worked?
Start with the action the campaign is meant to support, such as a registration or a relevant enquiry. Review delivery and engagement alongside those actions and your team’s follow-up records. Opens alone do not show business value, and a click is not a confirmed sale.
