Help making your website easier to find and more useful to the people who reach it. I’m Eamon Slevin, based in Summerhill, offering website audits, practical improvements and search reporting for small businesses in Meath and beyond.
If people aren’t finding your business, the first step is to understand why. I look at what you offer, the searches that matter, the pages customers land on and whether search engines can access them. That gives us a useful starting point for improving the site you already have.
A project that fits.
You can start with a defined audit or a set of agreed fixes. I take on selected freelance work alongside my full-time marketing role. We’ll agree the platform access, deliverables, timing and quote before starting; further development or ongoing support is scoped separately.
What we can work on
Website & indexing audits
Review important pages, internal links, mobile usability and available Google Search Console or Bing reports. Identify access or indexing problems and prioritise findings by their likely impact and the work involved.
Search terms & page planning
Match relevant searches to your actual services and customer questions. Review existing pages first, then identify any genuine gaps. Plan useful service and location content around where you work and what customers need to know.
Content & on-page improvements
Improve page titles, headings, descriptions, copy and internal links. Make the service, supporting work and next step clear, so visitors can decide whether you are the right fit.
Technical fixes & launch checks
Check redirects, canonical URLs, sitemaps and relevant structured data. Review mobile performance and implement agreed fixes where the platform allows, or provide clear tasks for your existing developer.
Local search setup
Review how your website explains your services and coverage. For eligible businesses that meet customers in person, support can include accurate Google Business Profile categories, services and business details.
Search reporting & next steps
Set up or review Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. Compare relevant search impressions, clicks and landing pages over time. Where agreed, consent-based GA4 measurement can add context about website activity and enquiry actions.
AI search visibility
Review how relevant AI answers describe and cite your business. Agree useful content and website improvements, then track observations separately from visits and enquiries. This can be a focused brief alongside broader SEO work.
Low traffic can have several causes. I separate whether a page can be found, whether it answers a relevant search, and whether it helps a visitor enquire. Each needs a different response.
A useful page is missing from search
Review the page response, indexing settings, canonical URL, sitemap and links pointing to it. Search Console can show what Google has discovered and whether it has chosen to index the page. The deliverable is a clear diagnosis and agreed fixes, followed by a check of the live page.
People see the page but rarely click
Look at the searches generating impressions and whether the title and description accurately explain the offer. Compare the page with the customer’s likely question. Better copy may help, but a low click-through rate also needs context such as search position, query type and the period being compared.
Visits are not becoming useful enquiries
Check whether visitors reach a relevant service page, can see credible examples and have an obvious contact route. Agree how enquiry actions will be measured, then compare that activity with the enquiries the business actually receives. This connects search work with customer needs instead of treating traffic as the only goal.
A completed freelance brand, website and search setup project for Ryan’s Kitchens in Meath.
From the portfolio
Ryan’s Kitchens: search setup as part of the build.
Alongside the identity and website, I wrote service and location copy, prepared descriptive titles, canonical URLs, structured data and a sitemap, and connected Google Search Console and Bing. The launch also included redirects, mobile checks and consent-controlled analytics. The finished setup gives the business a way to monitor search visibility and website activity after launch.
The Ideal Upholstery project also brought search setup into a website replacement: relevant redirects from the old site, service and project content, descriptive metadata, a sitemap, and Google and Bing verification. This is evidence of the work delivered, with search results still to be measured after launch.
An audit, implementation and ongoing reviews are different pieces of work. The quote will make clear which you’re getting.
A useful starting point
Share your website, main services, service area and the enquiries you want to attract. Existing search reports help establish a baseline; a new site may have very little data to work with.
Clear deliverables
For an audit, expect prioritised findings and recommended actions. For implementation, we agree the pages and fixes, who will make them and how they will be checked. You retain ownership of your website and accounts.
An agreed review
Allow time for search engines to revisit changed pages. Review relevant queries and visits alongside actual enquiries. A contact click or form handoff is useful activity, but does not by itself confirm a new customer.
How we get there
01
Understand the website
Discuss your business and priorities, review the current setup and agree access. Establish what is known from the available reports and what still needs checking.
02
Prioritise & improve
Agree a focused plan and quote. Make the approved content and technical changes, or work with your developer, then check the affected pages and enquiry routes.
03
Review the evidence
At the agreed review point, compare search visibility, relevant visits and enquiry feedback. Use those findings to decide what is worth doing next.
Where I work
Based in Meath. Working further afield.
I’m based in Summerhill, Co. Meath, and available for freelance projects with businesses in Trim, Navan and across the county. I can meet clients or visit their premises by arrangement.
I also offer remote support to businesses in Dublin, Cavan, Louth, Westmeath and Kildare, and elsewhere in Ireland. We can handle the brief, design reviews and handover by call and email, so you don’t need to be nearby to work with me.
A prioritised record of the issues found, the pages affected, why each matters and the recommended next step. I distinguish confirmed problems from opportunities that need more evidence. The scope will say whether I am implementing the fixes, handing tasks to your developer or providing the review only.
Why is my website not appearing in Google searches?
First, check whether Google has indexed the relevant page. If it has, the next question is whether that page is useful for the search: does it clearly explain your service, location and supporting work? I use Search Console alongside a website review to separate discovery or indexing issues from weak visibility. A page can be indexed without appearing prominently, and submitting it again does not guarantee a higher position.
Can you improve my current website without redesigning it?
Often, yes. Titles, copy, internal links and some technical settings can be improved within the existing design. What can be changed depends on your platform and access. If a larger issue needs development work, I’ll explain it before expanding the scope.
Do you work with businesses in Trim, Navan and Summerhill?
Yes. I’m based in Summerhill and work with businesses across Meath, including Trim and Navan. Meetings or client visits can be arranged where useful, and most website work can be handled remotely. The work will reflect your real service area.
How much does SEO support cost?
I quote after reviewing the brief. A focused audit, a set of technical fixes and ongoing support involve different amounts of work. The quote will identify deliverables and any separate platform or development costs; there is no automatic monthly commitment.
Can you guarantee a first-page ranking?
No. Search positions depend on competition, relevance, location and many other factors. I can agree the work and how we assess it, but cannot promise a ranking, an indexing date or a fixed number of enquiries.
How long does it take to see a difference?
Some changes can be picked up quickly; others take weeks or months. New sites and low-volume searches need more time to produce useful evidence. We’ll agree a review period and avoid judging success from a single day’s position.
Is this the same as Google Ads?
No. SEO concerns unpaid search visibility. Google Ads involves paying for advertising placements and has a separate media budget. If you need a paid campaign too, we can discuss it as a separate part of the brief.
Can this also help my business appear in AI search answers?
Clear, accessible pages, accurate business details and useful evidence can support discovery in search and AI answers. I can review the available inclusion settings and reports as part of the agreed work. An AI mention or citation is separate from a website visit or enquiry, and neither inclusion nor a recommendation can be guaranteed.
